I learned to play golf in the Krueger's yard in Mt Pleasant, hitting plastic golf balls between trees, clotheline poles, or other fixed objects that were the "holes". The toughest shot was hitting over the house from the front to back yard!
Later, as a freshman in high school, Barry sold me his full set of irons when he upgraded. It was from JC Penney, the store that his Dad managed in town. I used those clubs for 10 years until the club heads started flying off and going farther than my shots.
Unless I am able to meet Tiger someday, Barry will always be the greatest golfer I have ever met!
